  • Here are some ways to be better prepared when the runoff starts.
  • Remove snow 3’ - 5’ from around your home.
  • Please also clear the snow around your fire hydrant and from any meters.
  • In the event you have runoff water, place sandbags in CLEARED area to divert the flow.
  • Do not Place sandbags too early as exposing them to the elements can make them INEFFECTIVE during active flooding.
  • Check sump pumps frequently and make a plan in case of power outages.
  • Consider purchasing a sump pump, if you do not have one and think you may need one. The sooner the better.
  • Direct your questions on your local Emergency Management plan and protocols to your incorporated township, city office, or Weber County.
  • Please, observe your nearby rivers and streams, and if you notice any blockages or ice dams notify your city offices or Weber County.
  • If there is ACTIVE flooding in your location, call 801-395-8221. If there is a life safety emergency dial 9.1.1.
