Private Lessons

Nothing beats the attention provided by a private lesson at Powder Mountain. The one-on-one lesson will help improve your skills. Powder Mountain's professional staff will customize the lesson for you, focusing on what you want to learn whether its carving up the corduroy or enjoying the famous powder. Special requests can only be accommodated 48 hours in advance, including instructor requests.

*1 child per lesson. Parent must be available to assist for children 5 and younger (must be potty trained). 

Schedule:

Full Day: 9:30 to 3:30

Morning: 9:30am to 12:30pm

Afternoon: 1pm to 4pm

2 Hour: 9:30am to 11:30am / 1pm to 3pm 

*Groups for children 12 and under max out at 2 guests per instructor. 

*Children must be 13 y/o or older to be in the same group as an adult. 
 
*Reservations highly recommended. Walk in's will only be accommodated upon instructor availability. Day passes and rentals NOT included. Lunch NOT included.

*If you are renting equipment, please show up 1 to 1.5 hours before time for the lesson to start so you can be on time to the lesson. All rentals, tickets, RFID cards are available at the Sundown Area. If you are late, you may be asked to reschedule.

Group Lessons

Our professional staff provide group lessons for all ability levels from beginner to advanced and for ages 7 and above. Friendly camaraderie develops when learning skiing or riding with others close to your ability. 

The details:

Adult (13 and older) — $219 per person
Everyday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm 

Youth (7 to 13) - Starting at $219 per person
9:00am to 9:30am Check-in
9:30am to 3:00pm Lesson with lunch included

Advanced reservations required. 

All-Mountain Adventure Team

A 10-week program for skiers and snowboarders to learn new skills throughout the mountain. Students will be assigned a specific instructor and grouped by discipline and ability levels. The 11th session is the end of the program celebration, and a lift ticket must be purchased separately. Does NOT include rentals.

  • February 3, 10, 24 
  • March 2, 9, 16 

Pricing:  

  • Youth (Ages 7 to 14) 
    • $1,099 - Meets each Saturday from 10am to 3pm; lunch included. 
    • $2209 - includes sessions, lift, and lunch  
  • Child (Ages 5 to 6 ) 
    • $699 - Meets each Saturday from 9:30am to 12:30pm; lunch NOT included. 

*Intermediate and above skiers and snowboarders only. May be purchased as program only, or program with lift tickets. Rentals are NOT included. Pre-Purchase is required.

Local's Program

The Powder Mountain Snow Sports School offers five-week package lessons for ages 18 and up. We provide the highest quality lessons from certified instructors in a safe and fun atmosphere at an affordable price. The Local's Program is a five-week lesson series on Saturdays from 10am to 12pm.

Women's Program

The Powder Mountain Women's Program is for women, taught by women. Women ages 18 and older of all abilities are welcome! Instructors match participants with similar abilities together and spend four days on the slopes perfecting their skills. Long-lasting friendships are formed, and alumni of the Women's Program will always have friends to ride or ski with. Lesson time 1PM to 4PM. Each session includes a 3-hour lesson and après ski activities.

Ogden Valley Adaptive Sports Program

Ogden Valley Adaptive Sports (OVAS) is a non-profit organization that provides adaptive lessons at Powder Mountain. OVAS is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through sports and recreation.

In a world-class alpine environment, OVAS programs offer winter recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities, which can be shared with family and friends.  These programs are designed to build self-confidence and self-esteem by overcoming perceived limitations in winter snow sports.  The OVAS staff of trained, and certified adaptive instructors use the latest equipment and techniques to meet the variety of needs of each client.
