Powder Mountain is 100% OPEN! The lift maintenance team worked over night to open Paradise Lift by 12pm today, March 8th. Overall, we experienced a 4 and a half day Paradise Lift closure due to an electrical motor failure.
We would like to thank all our guests for their patience as we resolved this issue as quickly as possible.
Finally, we would like to extend a massive thank you to the incredible lift maintenance team for acting quickly and being able to get us back into our favorite Powder Mountain terrain in record time!

Paradise Lift is non-operational due to the electrical motor failure. This motor was already replaced for general maintenance 2 years ago.
A new motor is on its way from Wisconsin, and the old motor has been removed. We anticipate reopening the Paradise Lift and all affected terrain before the weekend. Travel time, retrofitting, installation, and testing will all be a factor on which day the lift actually opens.
Starting tomorrow, Lightning Ridge will reopen for hiking and snowcat access. A snowcat will pick up guests at Tree-in-the-Rock, below K2, where Big Kash and Rendez-Vous connect and take them back to Timberline Lift.

Paradise Lift is currently not operational due to a mechanical failure. The Lift Maintenance team is working diligently to get the lift operational as soon as possible. Unfortunately, a timeline has yet to be identified.
Beginning tomorrow, Saturday, March 4th, Lightning Ridge, Raintree, Cobabe Canyon, and Paradise Lift will likely remain closed.
The operational team is working on creating plans to access additional terrain, if the issue persists. This weekend, 3 buses will be running in Powder Country and Woody's World.
Guests who would like to switch their day tickets to another day will be able to at no additional fee.
